In honour of St. Patrick’s Day today, I thought I would share with you some photos from last October when my sister and I decided to skip out on the lovely Okanagan autumn weather and enjoy the season over in Europe. The main purpose of this trip was so that I could attend the amazing Way Up North Conference in Stockholm, Sweden. That conference was truly fantastic and I am so happy I got to attend it – all thanks to the tickets I won from Smart Albums!
During our month long adventure, we travelled through // Sweden // London, England // Ireland // Northern Ireland // Scotland. It was pretty fantastic and to do it with my sister was even more special! If you’re on Instagram, check out our hashtag #JandMInvadeEurope.
While we were in Ireland, we decided to begin by staying 3 days exploring Dublin, before renting a car and beginning our journey to the coastline. Our first stop was the Blarney Castle, where we gained “The Gift of Gab” by kissing the Blarney stone on top of the castle. Then we kept on going to Cork, Ireland where we found out it was the final day of the amazing Cork Guinness Jazz Festival. If you ever have a chance to do this.. definitely go! The whole city is so lively. The next day we drove through The Ring Of Kerry, which had some amazing views of the Irish Coastline. For the next 2 nights, we stayed in Killarney, as a checkpoint to come back to after exploring the Dingle Peninsula. Killarney was great for listening to live entertainment and traditional Irish humour 😉
Then we made our way to the Cliffs of Moher and WOW!! This was breathtaking. Honestly, such a fantastic view. After spending hours there, we made our way to Galway, Ireland, which was also very lively! Live Irish music at every corner and a vibrant atmosphere. The next few days were spent exploring more of coastline and Connemara National Park.
Overall, Ireland was amazing and I will definitely be going back there. The hospitality and the warmth of the people made it so worth it! And the views weren’t so bad either.
ENJOY these photos from our trip and feel free to share the photos!
